The Creative Journalist (Reporter) is responsible for researching and writing informational news articles and stories about real events using a fair and unbiased perspective.

To be a successful Creative Journalist, you should understand and apply the professional procedures and ethics of proper journalism. Ultimately, you should be able to work independently, take initiative, and be reliable.

• This is a remote position but candidate must be a U.S. citizen with a U.S. address.

• Occasional travel may be required. 

• Write compelling articles and report on trending news and topics.

• Reports news findings via video for social media audience.

• Interviewing experts, gathering first-hand accounts of events and organizing an outline into a cohesive, interesting story.

• Able to meet deadlines as outlined by the editors.

• Bachelor's degree or certification in journalism, english, or similar is preferred.

• 1 year of experience writing or editing for a publication.

• Must be proficient in the english language.

• Must be knowledgeable and able to apply techniques of SEO.

• Able to use proper grammar.

• Able to think outside of the box.

• Must have excellent communication skills.

• Technology: Able to use Canva, Slack, Adobe, Google Workspace apps, ClickUp.

• Must be passionate and knowledgeable of holistic lifestyles, natural/toxic free living, eco-friendly, sustainability, health and wellness, and related topics.

• Able to research trending topics and reliable sources.

• 1099 Independent Contractor

• $20-25 per hour, per diem
